Exploring the Beerniverse with Charlie the Beer Guy. Beer intersects almost every aspect of the human condition: beer is history, beer is science, beer is metaphor, beer is cuisine, beer is lifestyle, beer is a social tie that binds. The WEIRD Show is hosted by the Encaffeinated ONE. TWS is a weekly roundup of odd news, strange ideas and unusual views, a collection of cryptozoology, ufology, fringe and frontier science, bizarre human behaviour, the quirkiness of life, the wonder of the animal kingdom, the potential of the future, the mystery of the past and anything that catches my eye and causes my tongue to wag. It is a curio shop of ideas, loosely categorized around talking points, told with curiousity, humour, reflection, speculation and wonder.

TWS began its life over a decade ago as EXPRESSO! on CHSR-FM (chsrfm.ca) and has collected over 5 Barry Awards from the station for Best Spoken Word Program. In 2006, EXPRESSO! was transformed into The WEIRD Show podcast, and in 2008, TWS won a Parsec award for “Best Infotainment Show”.

The WEIRD Show is for dreamers, wonderers, thinkers; it treats all subjects seriously – except when it doesn’t. It looks at the world askew, just to see if anything can be discovered from an odd angle.

Geek Pantheon and Your Moment of Kim has been described as “Digital coated awesome, with powered awesome and awesome sauce on top.
