The Friday Night Lights Fan Podcast, hosted by Kaitlin Mattison and Amy Bennett, is a weekly podcast that provides reviews, commentaries, and predictions while serving as an outlet for fan observations and thoughts about NBC’s critically acclaimed “Friday Night Lights”.

Kaitlin and Amy do not hesitate to discuss anything and everything pertaining to “Friday Night Lights”. Whether it’s how “Lion’s Red” looks on Coach Taylor, or how we yearn for more comedic relief from Landry, no topic is off-limits. As the Friday Night Lights Fan Podcast has joined forces with Farpoint Media we look to expand the podcast into segments that may include: cast interviews, commentary from featured musical artists, writer/director interviews, listener voicemails/tweets/emails.

Compelled by the quality acting and writing of the show, Kaitlin and Amy created the fan site www.FridayNightLightsFan.com in the fall of 2009 . To expand the promotion and to share their thoughts personally, they created the Friday Night Lights Fan Podcast as an expansion soon after.

Talking Gossip After Dark is a podcast about the CW’s hit show Gossip Girl. Every week we — Angela, Missy and Dave — give you our thoughts on the current weeks episode and any news about the cast and the show.

We love Gossip Girl. We’re not tweens trying to be cool, and we’re definitely not teenagers either. We’re 20-somethings, and we’re not too old to watch Gossip Girl. We are new to the podcasting game, but this is fun. Things will only get better in the future.

Wonder what we’re doing with a podcast? It just happened by accident one day. It started with Angela, then Missy caught the bug too. We are putting our degrees to work. This would be a form of journalism, right? Then we got one of our listeners whom we absolutely loved, Dave, and we made him a part of the show. He’s well read in the Gossip Girl novels. Now we’re a happy family… a Gossip Girl family.

Three Chicks and a Mic, originally conceptualized by Crystal, Jen, and Adele, is a semi-monthly podcast dedicated to discussing geeky things from a female perspective. Currently the show has a revolving guest cast of hosts, and in each episode they join Crystal to discuss a wide range of subjects-from anime to Twilight, Spice Girls to Scarface, and things that span the mediums of books, movie, and TV.

3CM, as it is called by its listeners, began as a small thread on the forums of Starkville’s House of El, and grew to become its own show, complete with a set of forums located at http://threechicks.informe.com . Upside Down and Halfway to Happyland puts various aspects of Joss Whedon’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel series under the microscope, focusing on characters, specific episodes, some of the more eclectic topics, and even listener tales about what drew them to the Buffyverse. Kim invites listeners and fans to be guests and contribute their stories, thoughts, and ideas to an episode where they are featured. Upside Down and Halfway to Happyland tries to capture the aspects of the Buffyverse that has people talking about the shows so many years after they’ve gone off the air.

Kim began this show in February of 2007, after guest hosting on another podcast where there were extensive conversations about the finer points of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. After that, she was challenged by yet another podcaster to start her own show… and Happyland was born. Shortly after beginning Happyland, Kim ventured into starting up the Between the Lines projects with Tabz and hasn’t looked back since. Happyland has since become one of the many podcasts under Between the Lines Studios, which has joined FarPoint Media.

Future Traditions

Future Traditions began in the late summer of 2008, with its first episode being released shortly before Labor Day weekend. It began, and remains to be, a hub of discussion, interviews, and fanfiction, centered around the post-apocalyptic drama, Jericho.

In the past we’ve interviewed Vicki, the Administrator of the Jericho fansite Radio Free Jericho, and have asked for audience feedback in a Question of the Week segment that has appeared regularly on the show. Discussion is the main element of the podcast, ranging from conversation about the episodes of the show, to other projects the cast and crew have participated in outside of the Jericho universe. Other segments, including readings of fanfiction pieces set in the world of Jericho, have also been an integral part of the program. Our aim to is to keep Jericho alive in the podosphere and in the hearts of its fans.

hosted by Crystal and Logan, is a podcast about the Fox television show Bones, now in its fourth season. On the air for ten months, Squint Squad brings listeners their insights into the latest episodes, giving it a lot of thought to the dynamics of, not only the case, but the character interactions.

The heart of Bones is the characters, and Crystal and Logan keep track of the myriad of individuals that are encountered quite handily. They also keep their listeners apprised of the latest news, rumors, and spoilers that pertain to the show. Crystal and Logan are able to reach a listening audience of a variety of ages and nationalities, as they share in a community of devoted fans.

Listeners find two very courteous and enthusiastic young women who want to share their love of the show with others, which makes listening to Squint Squad feel more like hanging out with friends than listening to a podcast.

The Babylon Podcast

The Babylon Podcast was a dream given form, from the heart of Tim Callender, who approached Summer Brooks and asked what she’d like to hear in a podcast dedicated to Babylon 5, a show he knew to be one of her all-time favorites. Her response was nearly the length of a book, and Tim insisted that Summer be a part of the show he had in mind. Realizing that they would need a little help in giving the show a flavor and style all its own, Summer enlisted the help of Hollywood producer Jeffrey Willerth, a former producer and actor on the show. Jeffrey was more than happy to help many of the untold stories in and behind the series be heard by the show’s long-time, die-hard fans, and thus a new project was born.

Heralded as “our last, best hope for B5 review and discussion”, The Babylon Podcast has featured interviews with cast and crew members, many of whom had not previously found a way to tell the tales about their experiences and remembrances about helping bring to life a truly ground-breaking science fiction television series. Along with detailed discussion about every episode in order, the show will also focus on the movies, the spinoff series, Crusade, and the novels, toys, magazines and other collectibles we know and love.
