From the vast eldritch depths of the ocean, beyond the reach of man’s petty knowledge, lies an ancient terror which waits for it’s time to rise and lay waste to mankind. In its city of non-euclidean cruelty, it is held in the sleep of the dead. Or at least, the light afternoon-nap snooze of the dead. In fact, it’s just awake enough to reach out to the minds of men, clutch at their dreams, and answer their calls.

In Calls For Cthulhu, the great horror created by H.P. Lovecraft shows his range by hosting a call-in show, where he dispenses advice, comedy, and occasional harsh justice.

It takes everything you thought you knew about the Star Wars saga and flips it around to expose the ugly underbelly of the Rebellion and The Jedi.

It’s a fresh look at who you thought were the good guys from a gritty perspective you never considered before.

For the past six films in the saga, you’ve heard the Rebels´ side of the story, now it´s time for “A Different Point of View”. You might just end up being one of the many who’ve discovered that the Empire were the “good guys” all along.

Warning: These segments are rated PG-13 for the use of “Soldier Language”, and dealing with some subjects that may be a bit too intense for younger fans of the saga.

Author’s Note: This is a in-character parody. It shouldn’t have to be explained, but apparently, it needs to be said… so I said it.

Kevin Cummings (host and author) believes the most rational way to respond to the world is to laugh at it. Each week, he delivers a brand-new funny story about life as he knows it. The result is a frighteningly regular six-minute podcast called “Short Cummings Audio.”

What is it like?

Think Erma Bombeck with a PC… Dave Barry with a recording studio… Garrison Keillor with a microphone… Wait, strike that last one. Think funny and occasionally geeky. Kevin dips into his day-to-day experiences as husband, father, and middle-manager, and mixes them with his geek tendencies to produce stories that bring a smile and make you feel like he might have been secretly watching your life.

In 2008, Short Cummings Audio was honored with the first ever Parsec Award for “Best Comedy or Parody Podcast.” For several weeks after receiving the award, Kevin assumed there had been a mistake in the judging and kept the trophy hidden in an undisclosed location.

Listen in, enjoy the show, and be sure to share it with your friends!
