As America reels from the bizarre presidential assassination committed by a child, seven men are abducted from their normal lives and delivered to a secret government facility. Each man has his own career, his own specialty. All are identical in appearance. The seven strangers were grown — unwitting human clones — as part of a project called 7th Son.

The government now wants something from these “John Michael Smiths.” They share the flesh and implanted memories of the psychopath responsible for the president’s murder. The killer has bigger plans, and only these seven have the unique qualifications to track and stop him.

But when their progenitor makes the battle personal, it becomes clear he knows the seven better than they know themselves…

A Different Point of View is a series of essays about life in the Star Wars Universe as seen through the eyes of lowly sandtrooper, TD-0013. It takes everything you thought you knew about the Star Wars saga and flips it around to expose the ugly underbelly of the Rebellion and The Jedi.

It’s a fresh look at who you thought were the good guys from a gritty perspective you never considered before.

For the past six films in the saga, you’ve heard the Rebels´ side of the story, now it´s time for “A Different Point of View”. You might just end up being one of the many who’ve discovered that the Empire were the “good guys” all along.

Warning: These segments are rated PG-13 for the use of “Soldier Language”, and dealing with some subjects that may be a bit too intense for younger fans of the saga.

Author’s Note: This is a in-character parody. It shouldn’t have to be explained, but apparently, it needs to be said… so I said it.

Dr. Harold Hickman is an Emeritus Professor of the School of Communication at Northern Arizona University (NAU); where he taught Mass Communication and Broadcasting courses for twenty years. He is the former owner of KONY-FM and KUNF-AM in St. George. He also built and managed KLVX-TV, Channel 10, (PBS) in Las Vegas, Nevada and KOET-TV, Channel 9, (ETV) in Ogden, Utah.

He holds degrees in Speech and Theatre from Southern Utah University, the University of Utah, and his doctorate from the Department of Speech and Theatre in the College of Fine Arts at Brigham Young University (BYU). He served as Chair of the Speech Communication Department and Assistant Dean of the School of Communication at NAU. He was Assistant Director of the Motion Picture Studios at BYU and Assistant Professor of Communication at that school.

Hal has published a textbook titled “Television Directing” through McGraw-Hill, New York, and has completed manuscripts for “Horn Silver,” a history of the ghost town: Frisco, Utah, and “Passage” (a novel.)
